Ecolaw represents a synergy between the earth sciences and the legal profession.  "Eco" is derived from the word Ecology which symbolizes the environmental sciences, ecosystems, natural balances and environmentalism or conservationism. "Law" on the other hand represents a system of belief, based on legal principles, morality and ethics which guide a society.
